Product InfoHistorically made from recycled wire, today's weavers now use anealed steel core wire. It mimics the vibrant look of traditional telephone wire but with greater durability and consistency. Each basket is intricately woven by hand in KwaZulu-Natal using a technique that starts from the rim and works downward over a mould. This method allows for precision and shape, while preserving the individuality of each object. Every basket in this collection is one of a kind, alive with colour, craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Please note that each item is unique, variance in weaves is to be expected and admired. Care InstructionsThe telephone wire baskets can be used as funcional objects or as display pieces. They can be cleaned gently with warm water and a mild detergent if necessary. Shipping and PackagingAll orders are shipped via Australia Post standard delivery, dispatched within 2 business days from order date. There is a flat rate of AU$20 across all orders.
